Multitool works great but has flaws

"I own the Leatherman signal multitool, but once I was using it while working at a height, all the attachments fell out where the screwdriver goes. Overall a good tool but now I’m missing half the attachments the screw that holds them together fell off"

Signal Tool

"Best easy Leatherman for in the field while archery and rifle hunting big bucks and elk. It is my only knife I use except when gutting and skinning animals, then I use my Outdoor edge which is basically a scalpel. The Leatherman Signal has all the tools for outdoor hiking and hunting."

Amazing every day carry

"5/5 - If you spend any time outdoors, just get the Signal. I've put this thing through everything - camping, hiking, fishing, working on stuff in the garage, and it has never let me down. The build quality is classic Leatherman - solid, tight tolerances, opens smooth but locks up like a tank. What makes the Signal different from other multitools is it was actually designed for the outdoors. The ferro rod / fire starter actually works, the emergency whistle is loud, the hammer is surprisingly useful, and the diamond-coated sharpener has saved my knife on more than one trip. And you still get the essentials done right - the pliers, the 420HC combo blade, saw, bottle opener, can opener, drivers. It's not bulky either. For how much is packed into it, it carries really well on a belt or in a pack. I’ve had cheaper multitools loosen up or rust - this one just keeps going. It's a little pricier than a basic multitool but worth every penny. This is a buy-it-for-life tool that could genuinely get you out of a jam. 100% recommend."

Comfortably small

"The size is the top selling point because even though it is smaller than other models, it functions like larger multitools. Tools lol in place and offer zero play. I was pleasantly impressed at this price point for the quality of the tool. While it won’t cut through a fence, the replaceable cutting part of the pliers are an added plus in this price range too."

Best tool there ever was.

"I am a full-time organic Farmer and I think this is the best tool you could possibly have on your person at all times of day. From working, living, and thriving on a farm to pulling staples out of drip irrigation to hammering them in to cutting drip irrigation, cutting remay and big bags of seed to using pliers to help fix tractors and sprinkler heads to twisting metal wire for fences the uses are endless. I am proud to say that I’ve had the same tool for going on 11 years and will likely have it for the rest of my life. ."

"Letterman’s quality has gone downhill, this is my 4th Letterman and ultimately I am returning it. It came pre-scuffed, with fingerprints all over the blade and really bad scuffing on the pliers and wire cutter. Their quality control just isn’t what it used to be and until that gets fixed I can’t recommend anyone buy a new Leatherman."

Great Camping Tool

"This is a handy little tool, great for handling small jobs while camping or hiking. I like that the blade is easily opened with just one hand and I love that it has an integrated sharpener and bit driver. My main nitpicks are that the belt clip is pretty loose and the tools inside the handles are kinda difficult to deploy as someone with short fingernails. Having used both, I think I personally prefer the Supertool overall, but the Signal has it's place on my belt as a lighter option."

Don’t trust the belt clip!

"Don’t trust the belt clip! I did, and within a few days the tool popped off during a hike, and is gone. It’s a shame because I otherwise liked the tool."
